A delicious smoothie. Suitable as a meal replacement if you need to lighten up a little. I’m preparing to do a juice cleanse in a few days so this smoothie will be great at helping reduce my appetite.
It has ground flax seed which is a fantastic colon cleanser, great for clearing toxins. Not to mention all the great fats in flax that are amazing for your skin and brain health.
Ingredients
1/3 washed cucumber sliced in half
Cup full of blueberries (I used frozen)
1 banana
1 tbsp of organic ground flax seed
1/2 cup of mixed frozen fruit, mine is a ready pack. It contains apple, melon and grapes. Use these or pineapple will work well
1 cup of organic coconut milk
1/2 cup of filtered water
Optional extra
1 TSP of chlorella powder
Chlorella contains a huge amount of chlorophyll. Rich in folic acid, vitamin D and iron. Great for your immune system.
I recommend organic burst chlorella.
Place all the ingredients into a high speed blender and whizz until well mixed.
Serve immediately. Will keep for 24hrs in the fridge.
